About Us

  Darrell and Janice Bailey founded Custom Select Meat and Produce in 1988.  Located in the cozy town on Pyrmont, IN, Custom Select grew from a one man crew into a diverse operation.  Custom Select provides top quality steaks, pork, poultry, seafood and dairy products to numerous local resturants and cooperative and Greek housing on the Purdue University campus.  Custom meat products are a source of pride for the Bailey family.  Many local residents take advantage of Custom Select's bacon wrapped sirloins and marinated porkloins. 
  Darrell has long been known for delicious hog roasts.  The catering aspect of the business grew from simple hog roasts and cookouts to formal dining through the family's own wedding experience in 1995 with their eldest daughter Jennifer.  Faced with little catering options and climbing expenses, Darrell and Jan decided to tackle their first wedding reception by catering Jennifer and John's wedding themselves.  Following this success The Baileys knew they could offer affordable catering with top quality products and services.
  As the catering business grew so did the wholesale and custom meat sales.  Though Custom Select remains a small family busines the one man crew has grown significantly over the years. We are proud to have multiple crews availalbe for service.  The Bailey kids have literally grown up at Custom Select, Darrell and Jan's son, Darren, officially joined the company in 1996.  Their youngest daughter, Janelle, has assisted with catering since college.  Now the Baileys are looking forward to the third generation joining the team!
  Over the last 25 years the business has expanded and evolved, however the core values of quailty, reliability and customer satisfaction have remained strong in this family business!
